The square, also called Hanuman Dhoka after the old palace, contains the Kumari Ghar, home of the Living Goddess, the Taleju Temple and many pagoda temples. Several buildings collapsed in the 2015 earthquake and restoration continues. Foreign visitors pay an entry fee.
